Delivery Options

Delivery Options let you manage how products are delivered to your clients. Delivery options can 

    • Collect custom information regarding delivery.
    • Calculate more complex shipping rates.
    • Offer your clients choices regarding online store purchase delivery.

Once Delivery Options are created, you can attach them to individual store products.

 

Creating Delivery Options

To create a Product Delivery Options, take the following steps:

    1. In the Extra Services menu, expand Online Store.
    2. Click Delivery Options.
    3. Click Create a new delivery option.
    4. Enter a Delivery Option Name.
    5. [Optional] Enter a Description and/or select an Allocation Account.
    6. Click the Save Delivery Option button.

You can now edit the Delivery Option to add Delivery Thresholds.

 

Setting Delivery Thresholds and Editing Delivery Options

To create a Product Delivery Options, take the following steps:

    1. In the Extra Services menu, expand Online Store.
    2. Click Delivery Options.
    3. Click the pencil.svgEdit icon to the right of an existing one.
    4. Click Add a new delivery threshold or Add a new question.
    5. Enter the Threshold and Cost or Select a custom question and Placement Rank.
    6. Click the Save button in the popup.

Your delivery option has now been updated. You can repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary to add new threshold levels and questions. The product page may not immediately reflect these additions, but refreshing or reloading the page will show they have saved.

 

How Do Delivery Thresholds Work?

By default, Shipping Fees charge per item. Delivery Thresholds let you create more complex Shipping Fee scenarios. Here's how Delivery Thresholds work:

    • Each product has a Shipping Factor (set when the Delivery Method is checked for that product).
    • When the sum of all Shipping Factors in the cart meet a Delivery Threshold, UltraCamp assigns the designated Shipping Fee.

There are several things to keep in mind when building Delivery Thresholds:

    • Different products can have different Shipping Factors so they can count differently towards a Delivery Threshold.
    • Only products with the same selected Delivery Method are compared against that method's Delivery Threshold.
    • Shipping Factors must be set on the individual Product. Learn more about Products here.

 

Example Delivery Option Usage

There are many ways to combine questions and thresholds to set up a delivery option, here is an example that may provide insight:

Delivery Option: ACME Postal Package

    • Delivery Threshold: 1 Cost: $7.00
    • Delivery Threshold: 3 Cost: $10.00
    • Delivery Threshold: 5 Cost: $15.00
    • Custom Question: Mailing Address (Multiple Line Textbox)

Item 1: T-shirt

    • Quantity 2
    • Shipping Factor 1
    • Cost $10.00 per item
    • Selected Delivery Method: ACME Postal Package

Item 2: Logo Mug

    • Quantity 1
    • Shipping Factor 2
    • Cost $8.00 per item
    • Selected Delivery Method: ACME Postal Package

 Shopping Cart:

    • $20.00 for 2 T-shirts
    • $8.00 for 1 Logo Mug
    • $10.00 for ACME Postal Package Delivery Option
    • Total Cost: $38.00

The Postal Package Delivery Option fee is calculated based on the Shipping Factor for each of the items. The two T-shirts each have a Shipping Factor of 1. When this combines with the Shipping Factor of 2 from the Logo Mug, we have a total Shipping Factor of 4. This puts us over the Delivery Threshold of 3 but under the Threshold of 5. Therefore UltraCamp calculates a $10.00 fee for the ACME Postal Package.
