Fee Inclusion Structures

Normally when a percentage-based Add-on Fee is added to a reservation, every item on the reservation will be used to calculate the amount of the Add-on Fee. A Fee Inclusion Structure lets you change this behavior and control exactly which items will be part of the Add-on Fee calculation.

To create or edit Fee Inclusion Structures:

1. 1. In the Settings menu, expand the Fees / Payments section.
   2. Click Fee Inclusion Structures.

On this page, you'll be create new Fee Inclusion Structures or edit or even remove existing ones.

Once you've created a Fee Inclusion Structure, it must be added to an Add-on Fee to have any effect.

Setting Up a Fee Inclusion Structure

A Fee Inclusion Structure is comprised of two parts:

• • A structure Name
  • Structure Members

To create a structure, you will need to take the following steps:

1. 1. Enter a Name for your structure. This is only visible to administrators.
   2. Click the Save Structure button
   3. Click the link to Add a new member.
   4. In the popup window, select a Fee from the dropdown menu.
      • • Fees of the type you select will be used to calculate an Add-on Fee amount.
        • If you choose certain types of fees, you will be prompted to make further appropriate selections.
   5. Click the Save Member button.

You may repeat steps 4 and 5 as many times as you wish to include multiple fees in the Fee Inclusion Structure's calculations.

Any fee that is NOT added to the inclusion structure will be excluded from calculations.

Connecting a Fee Inclusion Structure to an Add-on Fee

Once you've created a Fee Inclusion Structure, it must be connected to a Session Add-on Fee. You can learn more about Session Add-on Fees here.

To connect a Fee Inclusion Structure to an Add-on Fee, take the following steps:

1. 1. In the Settings menu, expand the Fees / Payments section.
   2. Click the link to Add-on Fee Templates.
   3. Click the Edit icon next to the desired Add-on Fee template.
   4. In the Fee Inclusion Structure dropdown, choose the proper structure.
   5. Click the Save Fee Type button.

The Add-on Fee is now set to use your Fee Inclusion Structure when the fee is implemented.
